Moving cost is not a random number. It consists of several clear factors that are easy to estimate in advance:
- Number of movers. More people — less time, so lower total crew cost.
- Vehicle type and size. For 1-bedroom homes — Van 1.2 t (9m³) or Gazelle 1.5 t (18m³). For 2-3 bedrooms or an office — MaxiBus 2 t (16m³) or Truck 5 t (25-36m³).
- Floor and elevator availability. Carrying up/down stairs above the 5th floor without an elevator significantly increases work time.
- Volume and condition of items. Disassembled furniture and pre-packed boxes minimize time and cost.
- Distance between addresses. Within Kyiv it is usually included in the base rate; outside the ring road is calculated separately.
- Time of day and day of week. Peak hours (morning/evening, Friday-Sunday) mean higher load, so book in advance.
