What counts as heavy and non-standard cargo
At VantageOK, «heavy» means an item from 80 kg that is carried with straps / from both ends and incurs a weight surcharge. «Non-standard» means shape, size, or route complicates carrying even at a lower weight. Important: oversized items are almost always carried in pairs — so the crew is 2 or 4 people, not 3–5–7.
- Pianos (upright, grand) — 150–500+ kg, fragile body, straps and experience required
- Safes — 100–400+ kg, often do not fit in a standard elevator
- Generators — diesel/petrol 80–300+ kg, awkward shape
- Machine tools, ATMs, server racks — weight plus precise placement
- Fireplaces, stone tables, aquariums — weight and damage risk

Example 1. Safe 200 kg, 3rd floor with elevator
Gazelle min. 1 800 UAH + pair (2 movers) × 2 hrs = 1 400 UAH. Surcharge: (200−80)×5 = 600 UAH. Total ~3 800 UAH. If it takes longer due to a narrow passage — 2.5 hrs ≈ ~4 150 UAH.
Example 2. Piano 250 kg, 5th floor without elevator
Gazelle 1 800 UAH + pair × 3 hrs = 2 100 UAH. Surcharge: (250−80)×5 = 850 UAH. Floors: 5 × 2 × 15 = 150 UAH. Total ~4 900 UAH. If the stairs are very difficult — we add a second pair (4 people), not a «fifth person in the middle».
Example 3. Generator 120 kg, ground floor → warehouse
Van min. 1 350 UAH + pair × 2 hrs = 1 400 UAH. Surcharge: (120−80)×5 = 200 UAH. Total ~2 950 UAH. Even with stairs and no elevator, oversized items go in pairs — with straps.
Piano, safe, generator: moving specifics
Upright piano 150–300 kg — pair (2), 2–4 hrs, with straps. Corner protection, balance control on stairs. Grand piano — a separate story: 300–500+ kg, often 2 pairs (4) and partial leg disassembly. Gazelle with a soft cargo floor.
Safe 150–250 kg — pair (2), 2–3 hrs. We check door and elevator width before booking. Heavy safes 300+ kg — 5t truck, 2 pairs, possibly jacks/dollies. We do not force-rotate a safe — risk of injury and floor damage.
Diesel generator 80–200+ kg — pair (2), 1.5–2.5 hrs. Van or Gazelle. Important: drain fuel before transport (if possible), secure with straps. Weight surcharge from 80 kg.
Machine tools, ATMs, fireplaces — we assess individually. Often requires a Gazelle with movers or cargo taxi with higher capacity.
When we refuse (too dangerous)
We move a lot of difficult items, but there are situations where an honest refusal is better than the risk:
- Safe or piano physically does not fit through the door, elevator, and stairs — and there is no alternative route (window, hoist)
- Uneven weight on steep stairs with no way to secure it
- Item weighs more than the crew can handle without special equipment (500+ kg safe in a narrow stairwell)
- Fragile/antique item with high damage risk when the client refuses packing
- No vehicle access — manual carry only for 200+ m
